Aircraft Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which stated that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer said in a online announcement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels at the time.

This incident does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was compelled to turn back to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
