Barça Set to Play Inaugural Game at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Basque side in La Liga over two years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
