David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A representative for the firm said: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

An Illustrious Publishing History

Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
