The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
