Law Enforcement Release Pictures of Mosque Blaze Individuals

Law enforcement examining a report of potential intentional burning at a mosque in East Sussex have issued photographs of two individuals they wish to identify.

Fire crews were dispatched to the mosque on the street in the community at around 21:50 local time on that day.

While no-one was injured in the occurrence, the main doorway of the property and a car stationed nearby were damaged per investigators, who are investigating it as a bias incident.

Senior Officer Gavin Patch stated: "This incident represented an shocking and irresponsible offense which we understand will have made many people feeling more vulnerable."

Images released depict a male clad in a recognizable dark jacket with a brand name mark in white on the front.

The other is wearing vibrant crimson hand coverings.

"Authorities are treating the incident as an intentional blaze with intent to threaten safety and are proceeding to pursue a variety of lines of enquiry to identify the individuals behind this," added the detective.

There has been an boosted law enforcement visibility at the scene after the occurrence, in addition to supplementary monitoring being conducted at additional religious sites throughout the county to ensure safety, the force reported.

An attendee at the mosque reported a pair in face coverings spread fluid at the doorway and furthermore near a parked car and set it alight.

Has emerged increased attention about protection at religious sites following the incident near a synagogue in the city on last week, in which members of the Jewish community were murdered.

The suspect implicated, who was shot dead at the site, has been identified as an individual aged 35 Jihad Al-Shamie, a British citizen of Syrian descent.

The local MP, politician for Brighton Kemptown and Peacehaven, has denounced the events at the facility.

A community leader, chair of Brighton and Hove Muslim Forum, said everybody was "profoundly upset and appalled" by the events in Manchester and Peacehaven.

He commented that, irrespective of whether attendees were Jewish, Christian believers, Hindu or Muslim, the "last thing" they should foresee was that an individual would attempt to endanger them.

"I hope faith leaders and others in the neighborhood will come together to try and bring peace," he told local media.

"We've got to... support each other at this time of great need."

Activist collective Brighton and Hove Stand Up to Racism asserted the situation had not come out of a "isolation".

"During the past several weeks currently, extremist factions... have been inciting an climate of animosity and fear against minority communities around the South Sussex coast with symbols, decals and biased markings," it said.

The MP, Labour MP for the district, called the attack on the facility "reprehensible".

He commented: "The fact that there were no casualties is simply luck.

"These acts and prejudice does not belong in our tranquil, accepting area. We will root it out and we stand in solidarity with the victims."

Zoe Nicholson, leader of the local authority, stated further followers of Islam in the area had the "full backing and unity" of the council.

"Know for certain, we support fully with you," she said.
