Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California aged 55.
Zampella's death was verified by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.
The celebrated industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
